I hate hand IV's. Everytime medical personnel want to take my blood or put an IV in my hand, I complain loudly. I have good veins in my hands. But it always hurts so much longer than sticking my arm. And I always have problems with it. This time, the nurse numbed the area first (still an initial stick of a needle), then inserted the IV. I waited for awhile, my mind reeling: That really hurts!
